Scorzalite is a very rare material from New Hampshire.  It comes from deep within the world famous Palermo Mine in north Groton, New Hampshire.  This is an iron rich end member of a phosphate mineral.  Scorzalite is just about all gone from the mine and there is very little left to be found today.  This is one of the very few good cabbing materials found in New Hampshire.
