Mcdermitt Picture Jasper is another one of Oregon’s magic wonders.  It’s appearance is not as shiny as Owhyee due in part to it’s coloration.  This material also offers blue skies and tan mountains and valley’s however the blue is much lighter and most often appears speckled with tiny dots of dark brown.  Much harder to find than Owhyee but not quite as popular, at least based on our experience.  It also has been around at least since the 1960’s which is about as far back as I have been cutting.
