Cripple Creek Picture Jasper hails from the Owhyee Mountain Range in Oregon.  It is one of the early picture jaspers and has a unique blue sky and brown desert landscape often with black dendrites.  It was originally mined in the 1950’s however has become difficult to locate these days.  As do most picture jaspers, it takes a fine polish.
