The Coral we are displaying here comes from Indonesia.  Coral is universal, being found almost everywhere.  This material from Indonesia can be dated between 7 and 20 million years old.  The rough stone is not taken from living reefs, but is instead mined from mountains where coral was raised from the sea bed millions of years ago as a result of volcanic movement.  It is a fascinating material with many colors and patterns making every piece a surprise.  It is readily available on today’s market.
