Bird Of Paradise Jasper/Agate originally hailed from Mexico.  What little you see of this material today for the large part was mined in the 1960’s and 1970’s.  It offers a riot of colors, however most generally reds and yellows, in a translucent agate base.  Very beautiful material and hard to find on today’s market.
