Kunzite is a beautiful light pink to pink gemstone sometimes with a trace of violet. Although brittle and therefore sensitive to pressure, its hardness of 6 to 7, allows it to be used in fine jewelry, usually in limited edition pieces, not mass produced. The main deposits are in Malagasy Republic, the United States, Brazil, and Burma. Very popular Collector / Investor Gemstone often exceeding $30.00 / carat in retail markets.
